Three Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) students have been awarded the Robert Stokes Memorial Scholarship to support their education and career goals in the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) field.
John Harris, Brian Stafford, and Khang Cao are currently enrolled in the HVAC program at CPTC's Waycross Campus under the instruction of John Davis. Each student was selected to receive the scholarship, which honors the memory of Robert Stokes and his passion for helping others.
The Robert Stokes Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Robert Stokes, who was pursuing certification in air conditioning before his declining health prevented him from completing his education. Stokes had a personal goal of using his training and skills to assist elderly individuals with their air conditioning needs, demonstrating his commitment to serving others in his community.
Through this scholarship, his legacy of compassion and service continues by providing financial assistance to students pursuing careers in the HVAC industry.
Coastal Pines Technical College congratulates Harris, Stafford, and Cao on receiving this meaningful scholarship and extends its appreciation to those who continue to honor Robert Stokes' memory through their support of technical education and student success.
