The Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation has received a $4,000 donation from the Rayonier Community Fund to support the college’s Forestry Program. The funds will be used to assist with supplies and other programmatic expenses, ensuring students have access to the tools and resources needed for hands-on learning.
The CPTC Forestry Program is based on the Waycross campus and prepares students for careers in one of Southeast Georgia’s most vital industries. In addition to on-campus instruction, CPTC offers a Basic Timber Harvesting certificate through its dual enrollment program at Pierce, Appling, and Charlton County High Schools, providing high school students with early access to workforce training.
“Support from community partners like the Rayonier Community Fund plays a critical role in the success of our students and programs,” said Stephanie Roberts, Executive Director of College Advancement at Coastal Pines Technical College. “We are grateful for this investment and for Rayonier’s continued support of our students.”
