The Coastal Pines Technical College Foundation recently awarded its first WaveMaker Scholarships during the inaugural WaveMaker New Student Orientation held on the Waycross Campus.
Four students were selected as the first recipients of the $500 scholarships, which are designed to support students as they continue their educational journey at Coastal Pines Technical College.
The inaugural WaveMaker Scholarship recipients are:
- Carter Mattox - Pierce County High School Graduate
- Kimberly Mullis - Pierce County High School Graduate
- Stephanie Baladez - Bacon County High School Graduate
- Anahi Meza - Charlton County High School Graduate
The WaveMaker Program is a degree completion pathway for high school graduates who previously participated in Dual Enrollment at Coastal Pines Technical College. The program provides a seamless transition from high school to college through an established admissions and enrollment process, supported by dedicated faculty and staff committed to helping students achieve their educational and career goals.
The scholarships were presented during the program's first New Student Orientation event, which welcomed incoming WaveMaker students and connected them with the resources and support services available at the college.
"We are excited to recognize these outstanding students as the first recipients of the WaveMaker Scholarship," said Executive Director of College Advancement. "The Foundation is proud to support students who have already demonstrated a commitment to their education through Dual Enrollment and are continuing their journey toward degree completion and career success."
