The Wayne County Sheriff’s office met with Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Campus Police Chief, James Mock, on Monday, January 14, 2019. Sheriff John G. Carter and Chief Deputy Donald Ray presented the Coastal Pines Police Department with Tasers to be used for helping secure the CPTC campuses. “With six instructional sites across the southeastern portion of the state, it is important to ensure that our security team is up to par with the industry standards,” said Chief Mock. “We have a great relationship with local law enforcement and this is another example of the outstanding support we receive,” he added. CPTC President Dr. Glenn Deibert stated, “Sheriff Carter and his staff do an excellent job in helping us provide a safe and secure learning environment for our students, faculty, and staff. I want to say a public thank you to Sheriff Carter, Chief Deputy Ray, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for their support.”
