On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, the Satilla REMC Foundation donated $10,000 to the Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation. Their generous donation will be used toward scholarships for the Electrical Lineworker Program. The funds will be used to directly support the students and their costs associated with the program, including tuition, books and supplies.
Stephanie Roberts, Director of Institutional Advancement, thanks Satilla REMC for their donation and their continued support of our students. Partners such as Satilla REMC are vital to the Foundation and availability of funds for our students for scholarships.
“Business and Industry partners like Satilla REMC play a critical role in helping the College train the workforce of tomorrow. We appreciate our partnership with Satilla REMC and the financial assistance they provide our CPTC Electrical Lineman students.”, states Dr. Glenn Deibert, President of Coastal Pines Technical College.
The Electrical Lineworker certificate program provides students with the necessary knowledge and skill to gain employment as an entry-level lineworker with electrical utility companies, both public and private. This program can be completed in eight weeks. For more information, please visit http://www.coastalpines.edu/programs/electrical-lineworker/.
