Quick Start Announces Training Initiative

BRUNSWICK, Georgia, August 20, 2014 – Georgia Quick Start today announced an expanded partnership with Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. to develop and deliver a training program in support of more than 100 new jobs. These highly technical aerospace positions are being added as part of a $25 million expansion at Gulfstream’s Brunswick service center.
As part of the new training agreement, Quick Start will be designing and developing training materials and providing instructors for the classes. The training program will include job-specific skills in aircraft interiors and structures, aircraft print reading and software applications. Leadership development, core skills and productivity enhancement training are also included in the program.
“We’re honored to be continuing our 20-year partnership with Gulfstream,” said Jackie Rohosky, Technical College System of Georgia assistant commissioner for economic development programs and head of Quick Start. “This company’s ongoing investment in our state has already resulted in more than 2,500 new Georgia jobs in the past three years, and they’re still growing.”
The training program involves three distinct partners: Gulfstream,Coastal PinesTechnical College and Quick Start. When Quick Start’s training is completed, Coastal Pines Technical College will be available to assist Gulfstreamwith ongoing training programs.
