About Online Learning
Online learning is a convenient alternative to taking courses in a traditional classroom setting. To achieve the best results in a distance learning course, students must be able to work independently with little or no supervision. The distance learning courses are no different from the regular courses taught on campus in the amount of time it takes to do the lessons and assignments. Students have ample opportunities to interact with the instructor and other students through electronic means. Students must be well organized and have a basic understanding of computer functions to be successful in distance learning courses.
If you have further questions, please email the Distance Education Director, Chad Swanson at email@example.com.
Students who take online courses need a computer with Internet access. Good study habits and reading comprehension skills are also necessary to be successful in the courses. Skills specific to individual courses may be required; for example, proficiency with a word processing package may be needed for an online course.
