OTC Foundation Presents 2014 GOAL Winner with Scholarship
Catharine Simmons (center), 2014 OTC GOAL winner, was recently presented with an achievement scholarship award by Okefenokee Technical College Foundation Chair Larry Paulk following the April 21 board meeting. OTC Foundation trustees award the scholarship each year to the local Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner to help defray the cost of competing in the various levels of GOAL competition.

Simmons represented Okefenokee Technical College at the Technical College System of Georgia Leadership Summit April 23-25 in Atlanta, where she competed with representatives from Georgia’s other technical colleges for the 2014 GOAL medallion and a new automobile.
OTC President Dr. Glenn Deibert and the following Foundation Board members were on hand for the check presentation: Jeff Brown (Clinch), Sam Edgar (Bacon), Van Herrin (Brantley), Bill Higginson (Ware), Phil Martin (Clinch), Tommy Nimmer (Clinch), Larry Paulk (Ware), and James Willis (Ware).
