New Scholarship Opportunity
(Jan. 16, 2013) – Thanks to a recent donation by NALLEY Automotive Group and the Golden Isles Chapter of Military Officers Association of America (GIMOAA), Nalley General Manager Britt Gilmore and GIMOAA Scholarship Chairman Colonel Daryl Rabert, Altamaha Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a $2,000 scholarship competition for Glynn County students.
Altamaha Technical College President Lorette Hoover stated, “I am pleased that the Glynn County community is stepping forward to support much needed scholarships for our students at our Golden Isles Campus. We are so appreciative of the generosity of both Nalley and the Military Officers Association. We hope this will be a long standing relationship.”
Applicants must have a military background with a history of a family member having military service or applicant having served in the military. Academic excellence may be considered in lieu of military background. The student must also have a 2.5 GPA or higher, be a Glynn County resident, and either be a graduating high school senior or have attended Altamaha Technical College for at least a semester and have maintained the required GPA.
Applicants are encouraged to apply by the March 5, 2013 deadline.
