Work Ethic is the basic academic, interpersonal, critical thinking skills, and behavior that, when transferred to the occupational settings, facilitate job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Job retention and advancement competency areas are integrated into the curriculum of each degree, diploma, and technical certificate of credit (TCC) program.
The Technical College System of Georgia instructs and evaluates students on work ethic in all programs of study. Ten work ethic traits have been identified and defined as essential for students success; appearance, attendance, attitude, character, communication, cooperation, organizational skill, productivity, respect, and teamwork.
