Georgia EMC Foreman Supervisors Association Gives Back to the College

Mr. Bentley Carter of Satilla EMC, came to the Waycross Campus on February 21, 2019 on behalf of the Georgia EMC Foreman Supervisors Association to present a check to Stephanie Roberts, Director of Institutional Advancement, and Dr. Glenn Deibert, President of Coastal Pines of behalf of the CPTC (Coastal Pines Technical College) Foundation. These funds were allotted to the Electrical Lineworker Program to help students who may need additional funds to purchase equipment or to complete the program. The students and instructor, Mr. John Kennedy, took a moment to listen to Mr. Carter speak about the EMC’s of Georgia and the impact that could have on their futures in the field.
“Satilla EMC and the Georgia EMC Foreman Supervisors Association have been long time supporters of our Electrical Lineworker program.” states Dr. Glenn Deibert, President of Coastal Pines Technical College. “We appreciate their donation to the Foundation, and more importantly, we appreciate them hiring our graduates from the Electrical Lineworker program.”
The Electrical Lineworker certificate program provides students with the necessary knowledge and skill to gain employment as an entry-level lineworker with electrical utility companies, both public and private. This program can be completed in eight weeks and is tuition free through the Hope Career Grant*.
