Georgia Biomass Appreciates Coastal Pines Technical College Georgia Biomass showed its appreciation this week by donating needed electronics equipment to Coastal Pines Technical College. The two entities have had a strong partnership in Waycross since the Pellet Plant’s inception in 2010. Both share a common need to develop technical skills that translate into practical work application.
Renn Hooper, Georgia Biomass’ Electrical & Controls Supervisor, presented Thomas Wesley, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, and KC Thornton, Dean of Academic Affairs, with PLC processors and related equipment that will be used in classroom settings to teach electronics students how to apply this technology. As Mr. Hooper states, “Preparing students for future real life situations helps Georgia Biomass prepare for its own future.”
