Waycross, GA – Coastal Pines Technical College is currently accepting new student applications for summer and fall semesters. A $24 application fee is required for new students seeking admission.

For one day only, however, on Thursday, March 31, 2016, CPTC will hold Free Application Day. On this day, the first 400 individuals who apply in person between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at one of the college’s seven instructional sites (Alma, Baxley, Brunswick, Camden, Hazlehurst, Jesup, and Waycross) will have the $24 application fee waived.

Applicants are encouraged to bring proof of Georgia residency, such as a driver’s license. Official transcripts from previously attended high schools and/or colleges should be submitted as soon as possible, as well. The documents are not necessary to apply on March 31; however, they are required to complete the application and acceptance process.

According to CPTC Foundation officials Larry Paulk and Eric Denty, Free Application Day is being funded by the Terry Thomas Foundation and the Coastal Pines Technical College Foundation.

“We are very appreciative of the funds donated for this initiative,” said Coastal Pines Technical College President Dr. Glenn Deibert. Free Application Day serves as an incentive to some who are ‘on the fence’ regarding their career plans. For others, the program is a necessary financial ‘lifeline’ that enables them to take the first step toward a post-secondary education.”

“We extend a hearty thank you to both the Terry Thomas Foundation and the CPTC Foundation for their support,” continued Deibert.

“Another incentive for enrolling at CPTC is a new program we are offering at the Golden Isles campus,” noted Dr. Al Cunningham, CPTC vice president for academic affairs. We are very pleased to offer Neuromuscular Massage Therapy, which will begin summer semester. And we have plans to offer a Paralegal Studies program in the very near future.”

Encouraging others to join them at Coastal Pines Technical College are (L to R) Jackie Bennett (cosmetology), Kat Jackson (Move on When Ready – Dual Enrollment program), Harlee Lee (cosmetology), Za’Kierah Golden (business technology), and Alacycia McGauley (cosmetology).
