Larry Paulk (second from left) of the Coastal Pines Technical College Foundation, accepts a donation from Waycross Exchange Club President Jake Strickland (left) while Cindy Tanner Vice President for Institutional Advancement of Coastal Pines Technical College and Exchange President-Elect Michael Ray look on. The money will be used to fund scholarships at Coastal Pines Technical College.
According to Tanner, donations to the Exchange Club of Waycross Scholarship fund are added to past contributions and remain untouched until the fund becomes endowed or reaches a preset amount as defined by Foundation trustees. Once endowed, a portion of the income earned from the fund will finance student scholarships.
“Through the legacy of endowed scholarships, organizations like the Exchange Club of Waycross make a difference in the lives of others in perpetuity,” stated Tanner. “CPTC faculty and staff appreciate the dedication and hard work of Exchange Club members as they work to raise money for this endowment and other worthwhile causes.”
The donation supports one of the National Exchange Club’s Programs of Service to Youth.
