Brandon Bunch, former Dual Enrollment student
Brandon Bunch was a Dual Enrollment student at Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) on the Jesup campus. During his time at Wayne County High School, Brandon chose to participate in getting his Welding certificate through Coastal Pines. Upon graduation from high school, he enrolled, and completed the underwater welding program at Commercial Dive Academy in Jacksonville, Florida.
After graduating from the Commercial Diving Academy, Brandon moved to Atlanta and has plans to open his own Welding business. In the meantime, he is waiting tables at a local restaurant. His manager knows about Brandon’s future business plans and is paying Brandon to make a table for his restaurant. The manager was so impressed with the work Brandon completed that he has requested forty more tables to be created.
Because Brandon chose to take advantage of Dual Enrollment Courses through Coastal Pines, he was able to get a head start on the remainder of his education, as well as his future business goals! Congratulations on your success, Brandon!
Georgia’s Dual Enrollment program allows qualified high school students to maximize their education and career training by taking courses that earn college and high school credit at the same time. Under Dual Enrollment, students may take academic core courses that can transfer to TCSG colleges or USG colleges and universities. Students may also take occupational and career courses that can help jump start a career.
