CPTC Will Send Seven Students to the 2016 Skills USA National Competition.

Coastal Pines Technical College will be sending seven (7) students to the 2016 Skills USA National Competition next week. The students along with faculty/staff will leave next Monday for the week long competition and travel to Louisville, KY for the competition. These students secured first place (Gold Medal) at the State Championship back in March and qualified to go to Nationals and represent not only CPTC but, the State of Georgia.
(Photo Left) Brent Berry -Camden County-Electronics Technology – Waycross Campus (Instructor Thomas Wesley) will represent Georgia for the second year in a row at Skills USA National Competition.
(Photo Bottom Right) Christopher Seawell -Glynn County (Industrial Systems Technology), Dawson Hickey – Glynn County - (Air Conditioning Technology) and Frank Larkin – Glynn County (Air Conditioning Technology) - Instructors Ricky Rainey and Lee Clark - will be competing Occupational Health and Safety. Sarah Cross (Glynn County)-Cosmetology, Ernest Philips (Camden County) – Air Conditioning Technology, and Laura Wall – (Glynn County) – Cosmetology (Instructors Katherine Ellis and Lee Clark) will all be competing in the Community Service Project (Bags of Hope).
All the competitions will take place at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY with winners being announced on Friday – June 25th, 2016 – at the Awards Ceremony. Please join us in congratulating these students on winning State competition but, wish them all Safe Travels and Good Luck as they travel to Louisville and compete on behalf of Coastal Pines Technical College.
