Coastal Pines Technical College was selected as this year’s winner of the “A Great Place to Work” award presented by the Waycross-Ware County Chamber of Commerce at the annual Taste of Chamber held Thursday, September 17, 2015, at the Railroad Express Agency (REA) building (the depot) in Downtown Waycross. The Chamber received several nominations for the college, not only for the institution itself, but also for its leader, Dr. Glenn Deibert.
“The faculty and staff have carried out a major undertaking in the last couple of years to grow from one location serving Ware and surrounding counties, to now serving 13 counties,” said Chamber Board Chair Sarah Coggin.
“All this was accomplished while still receiving a flawless accreditation. Enthusiastic – visionary – leads by example – cares for all our students and employees – never asks anyone to do anything he wouldn’t do himself – all these were descriptions for the leader of this organization, and that leadership is evident in the employees, as well. Please join me in congratulating Coastal Pines Technical College, this year’s Great Place to Work.!”
The host sponsor for the event was AT&T, along with Southern Eagle Distributors, Coca-Cola, Bartending by Jimmy, Millennium Entertainment, Sapp’s Floral Company, Baptist Village Retirement Communities, and Belles & Beaus Southeastern Event Rentals.
