Coastal Pines Technical College Will Hold First Commencement January 31
Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) will hold its first commencement Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Wayne County High School Auditorium in Jesup. Nearly 600 CPTC graduates have been invited to participate in the ceremony.
Dr. Patrick Ebri, Vice President for Human Resources at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Georgia, will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Ebri first joined the Southeast Georgia Health System in 1995 as a radiologic and ultrasound technologist. He served as director of Imaging Services from 2002-2006 before joining the Human Resources Department as the director of Education/Team Member Relations. In this, Dr. Ebri successfully created a partnership with Brenau University to offer a new Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management before being named Vice President of Human Resources.
In addition to his work at Southeast Georgia Health System, Dr. Ebri currently serves on the Coastal Pines Technical College Board of Directors. As a CPTC Board Director, Dr. Ebri joins other board members in communicating community needs to the college president and administration, which is essential in fulfilling the mission of the College.
Dr. Ebri earned his Bachelor of Science degree in radiography from the University of Calabar in Nigeria before earning a certificate in diagnostic medical sonography from Sanford Brown Institute (formerly Ultrasound Diagnostic School) in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Ebri later completed his Master of Health Administration from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Southern California University in Santa Ana.
He has served on the advisory boards of the Ultrasound Diagnostic School and St. Vincent's Nuclear Medicine Program, both in Jacksonville, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in Brunswick as well as Keep Brunswick Golden Isles Beautiful (KBGIB). He also sits on the boards of Coastal Georgia Regional Health Network (CGRHN) and Golden Isles Career Academy. Dr. Ebri is also a member of the American Society of Healthcare Human Resource Administrators (ASHHRA) and Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). Dr. Ebri and his wife and two children make their home in Brunswick.

The public is invited to join Dr. Deibert, CPTC board directors, trustees, faculty, and staff January 31 to recognize and celebrate graduates. Family and friends of graduates are encouraged to arrive early. Coastal Pines Technical College is a unit of the Technical College System of Georgia.
