Clinch County Panther Craig Harris is Awarded the Player of the Week

912 Sports will name a Coastal Pines Technical College Player of the Week each week during the 2019 high school football season. The winner of the week 14 award is Clinch County Junior defensive tackle, Craig Harris.

Craig Harris is a good-looking defensive lineman for Clinch County. This past Friday night in the Class A state quarterfinals, Harris once again looked good and played well, too. The junior defensive tackle had 16 tackles for the Panthers as they punched their ticket to another semifinal game with a 38-16 victory over Warren County in Homerville.

For his big-time performance, Harris has been named the Coastal Pines Technical College Player of the Week in the 912 Sports coverage area.

“Craig is a great player,” said Clinch head coach Don Tison Jr. “He’s really matured this year into a leader and his potential is tremendous. Against Warren County, Craig really anchored the defensive line and shut down what they wanted to do offensively.”

Harris made the Region 2-A team last season and also was a Class A Preseason All-State selection going into this season. The Panthers are gunning for their third straight state title this season. They will be back in action this Friday against rival Irwin County in the state semifinals. The teams met in the state title game the last two seasons.
