Coastal Pines Technical College’s (CPTC) Computer Information Systems (CIS) Program has another semester of success! Each year, students graduate with the chance to work in the communities that they have been schooled through. This semester, three CIS students from the Waycross Campus took the opportunity to take the CompTIA A+ 220-901 as well as the CompTIA A+ 220-902 tests, and all three students passed with flying colors. A job well done to Steven Slusher, Timothy McLaughlin, and Gabriel Gaulding on this great accomplishment!
These exams are not mandatory for graduation or to earn the CIS Certification, however; through taking, and passing these exams, these students showed determination, commitment, and self-confidence in the skills they have acquired through the teaching of their course instructor, Laree Thomas. The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ Exam is recognized globally in business and industry as verification that the individual has demonstrated skills equivalent of 9 to 12 months of experience.
