OTC Foundation

History

The Okefenokee Technical College Foundation, Inc., founded in 1990, is a nonprofit corporation with  501c(3) tax-exempt status. The Foundation exists to raise and manage private resources that support the mission and priorities of the College, provide educational opportunities for students, and enhance institutional excellence in ways that would not be possible with state funds.

Since its inception, the OTC Foundation has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarships and grants to students who demonstrated academic excellence and determination in pursuit of higher education. Coastal Pines Technical College scholarship recipients very quickly become graduates and very quickly gain employment, typically in the region. As employees, these bright, productive technical college graduates strengthen the economy of Southeast Georgia.

Each year Foundation trustees conduct activities to generate funding for student scholarships, program technology, capital projects, and other general support for the College. Trustees appreciate the economic impact of Coastal Pines Technical College and are committed to making friends and raising funds.

Mission

The mission of the Okefenokee Technical College Foundation is to further the mission and goals of Coastal Pines Technical College by providing financial and other essential support to fund emerging and existing academic initiatives and priorities.
