Academic programs at Coastal Pines Technical College provide students the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for securing personally satisfying, rewarding, and socially useful employment. All programs of study comply with TCSG approved curriculum reflecting current, knowledge and skills training.
Completion of a program of study results in the awarding of one of the following credentials.
Associate of Applied Science Degree (AAS)
Associate degree programs take approximately two years to complete with the required credit hours ranging from 60 to 73. The curriculum of the AAS programs includes courses from general education and occupational/technical areas.
Diploma
Diploma programs typically take 12-15 months to complete with the required credit hours ranging from 40 to 61 hours. The curriculum of the diploma programs includes courses from general education and occupational/technical areas.
Technical Certificate of Credit
TCC programs provide a structured sequence of credit courses that enable individuals to either be employed in an entry level position or to increase skill proficiency in a current job. These short-term training programs usually take no more than one year to complete with required credit hours ranging from 9 to 38 hours. Certificate programs are composed primarily of occupational/technical courses.
