April 18, 2016 09:19 AM
Coastal Pines Technical College Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) student Caleb Davis and Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year Jason Strickland were recognized recently at a Blackshear Rotary meeting. Davis is a Bacon County resident and a Welding and Joining Technologies student at the Hazlehurst Site. Strickland is a Pierce County native and lead instructor for the Computer Information Systems program.
Each year, the state’s 22 technical colleges select their own GOAL student and Rick Perkins Instructor who move on to compete at the state level competition in Atlanta.
Speaking at Rotary gave them extra practice before leaving for the state competition.
